Friday Fics Fix - Angst, Injury, and People Being Fiercely Protective of Izzy

“Not exactly,” Stede admits, “He made a rather confusing analogy about the weight of a cannonball and controlled explosions and the two of you being like saltpeter and charcoal together.”'

Look, I never claimed to be a totally emotionally stable human being - not least because I'm not sure such a thing truly exists.

No, in fact, I've been quite up-front about my emo goblin spaghetti brain's weird and wonderful cravings. Mostly of the angsty variety.

...so I think you can probably guess where this post is going 😅

 

This is an Our Flag Means Death (OFMD) fic where Izzy Hands gets hurt - badly - by a kind-of-accident, leading to tensions with post-Kraken Ed and the crew almost boiling over.

There is angst. There is injury. There are people being fiercely protective of Izzy.

We also dive into the toxic Ed/Izzy situationship, because, well... post-Kraken Ed.

So, basically, it is my catnip, my ever-welcomed kryptonite, my jam. And I'll own that. 😎

So really, it's only partly the fault of my emo goblin spaghetti brain 😅 - mostly it's the fic author's fault. 

I mean, if people would stop writing good angsty hurt/comfort stories... lol.
