Friday Fics Fix - What's A Desperate Mage To Do?

 

'The first look at his demon had his mind reeling, and he swore softly.

"What in Hel?!"

Anthony Stark gave him a smug grin and a chuckle.'

You know in this house (...blog, shh,) we like creativity, yeh?

We also like FrostIron (Tony Stark and Loki in a romantic and/or sexual relationship.)

So... hopefully you can see where this is going 😅

Although, to be fair, there's not much of a relationship going on here - it's more of a vibe.

Mostly because the entire set-up of this fic doesn't really lend itself to long-term declarations of undying love, so while there's a little something between these two, this isn't the time or place, y'know?

What it is the time and place for is a lot of pain, angst, and hurt/comfort.

(Hey look! It's my emo goblin spaghetti brain chomping away again, happy that I've fed it 😅)

(Fandom notes:

Hurt/Comfort, aka H/C etc., is a genre of fanfiction where a character gets hurt, and another character or other characters comfort them. It's just that simple.)

So, this is a fic set just after the 2012 Avengers film, with Loki locked up in a cell on Asgard.

...It's not a great place to be.

In fact, it's a pretty horrendous place to be.

And what's a desperate mage looking down the barrel of an execution to do, really, except for something desperate?

So Loki summons a demon.

...But it turns out he's met this demon before. And now he's very, very, confused - because he seems to have summoned Tony Stark.

Creative, right?

Not because Tony's a demon - I've read fics where he's a demon before, I've even rec'd one where he's a sexy-times demon (Never doubt the amount of fanfiction I have read... I've seen things 😅)

No, the creativity is in the entire set-up here - the entire twisty-turny situation we're going with which opens some very interesting doors. Especially when Odin turns up...

- abuse of an adult child by their parent

- mental health problems (kind of - it's magic-based and referred to as 'madness' because magical shenanigans)
