Nerd Church - Whatever Else Happens, Trump Is Guilty

Title: Whatever Else Happens, Trump Is Guilty Background: statue of Lady Justice

Whatever else happens, Trump is guilty.

Finally there are criminal, legal, marks next to his name which can be - have been - proved.

Whatever else happens, Trump is guilty.

The world is big and uncertain and scary, but every now and then, sunlight glints through.

Whatever else happens, Trump is guilty.

So while it may seem terrifying for us to sit outside the USA and watch them self-destruct -

(and take so many of us down with them - American politics forever fails to keep their hands inside the rollercoaster car at all times,)

- at least now we know that Goliath can be felled, so long as you've got the right slingshot, and the law (sometimes) still works.

Whatever else happens, Trump is guilty.

If (and Lord, it's still somehow an 'if' not a 'when') they over there in the USA can push back the far-right swing of the pendulum, then maybe we can too. (Newsflash Americans - your sickness has a tendency to spread.)

Maybe, just maybe, there's hope for people who just want to live without being trampled underfoot.

Whatever else happens, Trump is guilty.

And though I may hope for a future where his talons remain clipped, we live in an unparalleled timeline for the absurd.

Whatever else happens, Trump is guilty.

We have to have hope - because sunlight will win, surely?

Whatever else happens, Trump is guilty.

And Stormy Daniels rocks.

So - thoughts? Hopes? Fears? Pleas to the old gods and the new?

Talk to me! 😅💬

  1. I'm still very afraid, because it sounds like the more he gets proven guilty (or simply accused), the more people are hell-bent on defending him and worshipping him...and sending him money (as if he didn't have enough already). We can only hope...

    1. On the plus side, a lot of the undecided voters (who are the ones they need, really,) said they'd turn against him if he was convicted of anything. On account of there's a section of Americans whose belief in the legal system is a whole other set of terrifying scenarios, but we can work with that dammit!

  2. I do really wonder how their election will go in the fall. It does seem like a shitty reality show at this point.

    1. No reality show - not even the 'constructed reality' ones - would come up with a storyline so batsh** *face palms*
