Comics Wrap-Up - Weaving, Not Sewing

It's Thursday, the 21st Century is exhausting, this is Dora Reads, so let's get some comics-y superhero-y goodness!

Still Loving This Series

Maya Lopez
Via Giphy

I saw episode 2 of Marvel's Echo this week, and am happy to say I'm still loving this series.

This episode was, looking back, something of a filler-episode - I think we're being given time to actually care about the new characters we've been introduced to before Maya inevitably puts everyone in danger - but it didn't feel like a filler episode.

The pacing was pretty damn excellent, tbh, because it really is only at the end that I was like, 'Hang on... not a lot actually happened in this episode.' Lol.

Time Works Differently At The TVA...

I love Ryan George's Pitch Meetings - a good-natured joke at the expense of plot-holes from films and TV series.

This one takes a look at Loki series 2 - which you all probably know I loved - and does a pretty good job of it.

BUT - I have an issue, Mr. George.

A loom is not a sewing device. Looms are for weaving, not sewing. At most I will let you get away with darning, which - when done correctly instead of the half-a**ed way I do it - is halfway between the two.

...I'm a craft nerd with two frame-looms, I can't help it. 😅

Warning: SPOILERS, mild flashing images, brief violence, adult humour, brief reference to domestic violence (re: Jonathan Majors)
