We've established I'm trash by this point, so that'll save me a lot of explaining and justifying myself 😅.
So, with that in mind - this is an MCU (Marvel movies and TV shows,) The Falcon and The Winter Soldier (TFATWS) fic.

This is kind of a mission fic where Sam has to pull Bucky's butt out of yet another metaphorical(...ish) fire, but also kind of about self-care and recovering - both mentally and physically.
...Look, this is me and I'm rec'ing TFATWS.
There's Angst and Whump and Hurt/Comfort and all that fun stuff. There's also friendship Fluff in there.
Sadly no SamBucky, but we can't have everything... lol.
(Fandom notes:
A mission fic is a piece of fanfiction that's based around an episodic-style storyline - not dissimilar to a monster-of-the-week/murder-of-the-week style vibe - usually focussed on action/adventure.
Angst is angsty, what do you want me to say?
Hurt/Comfort or h/c is where someone's hurt and other character/s comfort them - pretty logical.
Whump is where one character always seems to have the bad sh** happen to them. It pairs well with the h/c fanfiction subgenre.
Fluff is pretty much the opposite of angst.
SamBucky is a romantic and/or sexual relationship between Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes.)

Basically, it was a decent, solid, fic that gave me everything I wanted to read about at the time.
It kept my emo goblin spaghetti brain happy, so maybe it'll do the same for you?
