Month In Review(s) - September 2022

September was pretty good, on the whole.

For me - not for like, the Royal family, or the British economy, or the numerous wars and natural disasters etc.

...I'ma get back to me now 😅

Yeah - I kind of trotted along, for the most part, just doing what I do.

Keeping metaphorically swimming and all that jazz.

Making some progress on this 'n' that, y'know?

...I'm not great at explaining things from my life so that they sound exciting 😅

It was also my birthday month - which is always nice - and cake month, in honour of my Grampa, whose birthday was close to mine.

(Shoutout to Prince Harry, who I share a birthday with, and who was in the middle of all the national mourning stuff at the time. And who obviously reads this blog *shifty glances*)

And yes, I had a nice birthday - thanks for all your birthday wishes etc!

I celebrated in the most 'me' of ways - pizza with The Bestie, a Chinese takeaway with the family, and snooping around an antiques shop with the parents.

...Honestly, anything more than that is just too stressful and not something I end up enjoying - and isn't the point for me to enjoy it, y'know?

I don't really like fuss, especially when I end up with mixed feelings around my birthday generally because I get caught up in the 'shoulds' of where I 'should' be in my life by now and find myself inevitably lacking.

(If you want to buy me a coffee for my birthday btw, you can do that here - but no pressure at all! It's 100% fine if you don't want to.)

  1. Glad you had a pretty chill month, Cee! I too don't like fuss surrounding my birthday. I get a bit existential too.
