Comics Wrap-Up - Pretty Imminent

It's Thursday, this week has gone uber-fast, let's get some comics-y superhero-y goodness!

Disney Dates

I don't usually pay much attention to film release dates 'til they're pretty imminent, because a lot can happen between pre-production and release. 

(Not least in the year 2020, which proved the folly of humanity's attempts to control time and space. ...I'm not entirely sure where that sentence came from, but I hope you enjoyed it 😅!)

But this week, Disney announced a bunch of delays to film release dates - mostly of Marvel movies.

Mostly the dates have been put back a few months, with the massive exception of Blade, which has been pushed back from September 2023 to November 2024 - so, clearly, that one's got a few production issues!

YA Comics

Over on Book Riot, Tirzah Price wrote about the awesome Young Adult comics and graphic novels coming out between October and December 2022.

Girls Love Boys' Love

Boys' Love, or BL, manga is manga which features M/M romance. 

(It's sometimes known as Yaoi, although some people see that as a sub-category of BL.)

Boys' Love has always been written by a fair amount of female creators, with an audience comprised in large part of other women.

Patricia Thang @ Book Riot provides an excellent discussion and brief history of the reasons why girls love Boys' Love.
