Good Supergirl fics are like buses (which ironically do feature in this fic) - you wait what feels like forever for one to come along, and then two come along at once!
OK, you might remember a couple of weeks ago I recommended a Supergirl fic.
...And I'm here to do it again.
...From the same fic author.
They deserve it, OK?! 😅 They're good fics!
And this one is... like a whole-a** season arc of Supergirl.
It's incredible, and at just under 500 pages and, according to the author's notes, taking two years to complete - it shows some goddamn dedication!

And it has everything.
Action? Check.
Angst? Check.
Plot twists? Character interactions? The power of freaking love?! Check, check, check!
And not only do we have OTP Brainy and Nia taking front and centre in the fight against one of Brainy's evil ancestors, we also get Kara and J'onn being super superheroes, and Alex and Kelly doing their whole kick-a** Lesbian action hero schtick!

OTP = One True Pairing; inspired by Lord of the Ring's One True Ring (to rule them all,) - a couple who you believe are meant to be together to the end of time dammit!!! ('One' might be in the name, but most people have multiple OTPs.))
Like, this fic is impressive.
It gives a whole-rounded series vibe - it covers most of the main characters from around that point in the series timeline (like most superhero shows, there's some change of personnel between series.)
- It could honestly just slot in as an entire series between Myriad and Leviathan (Supergirl fans know what those are - the rest of you don't need the SPOILERS.)
Since it is so specific in terms of series-placement, it does assume that you have at least a basic knowledge of all of the series up to that point, so if you've only seen one or two series, you will not have a clue.
Oh, and there's a butt-tonne of SPOILERS.
In fairness, there's an assumption that if you're reading a nearly 500-page Supergirl fic, you're gonna have seen the series 😅
There's also a lot of stuff about Coluans and Brainy's family that I reckon the fic author got from either the comics or other DC media -
- because it certainly wasn't in the series.
Or maybe they just made it up - in which case well done fic author, because it sounds authoritative enough to be canon of some sort!
