Month In Review(s) - March 2022

Warning: this post briefly discusses various aspects of the world's clusterf**k, including but not limited to: Ukraine, systemic Transphobia, and Covid 19.

It also breifly discusses poor mental health, and chronic illness (migraines.)

March was... turbulent.

Which I know isn't exactly unusual atm, but still...

'March - Mawrth' with a flowery background.

I think the hour changing here in the UK has put my body-clock in a spin - I'm so tired.

But on the plus side: less migraines this month! Woo! Not migraine-free, but still - it's a start.

Not such a great month mental-health-wise - between my regular existential crises, the brain fog, and the aforementioned tiredness and migraines, it hasn't been great.

...It probably doesn't help that the world is a screaming disaster-area, but there ya have it 😅

Which reminds me:

You can donate to the Disaster Emergency Committee's Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal here.

And if you're in the UK:

Please protect Trans and Non-Binary people by writing to your MP about the decision to exclude these groups from the Conversion Therapy Ban.

There's a 2-5min form you can fill in, it's super-easy.

A lot of the posts I wrote this month were pretty damned weird - and I was gonna apologise for that, but then I realised I didn't want to 😅😎

The world is weird af right now, my mental meanderings are the least of anybody's problems, and, as Viktor E. Frankl says in Man's Search For Meaning 'An abnormal reaction to an abnormal situation is abnormal behaviour.'

I.e. - who can be normal in a world like this? Where we have the highest rates of Covid ever, yet restrictions being lifted and free testing ending?

So, they're my weird posts, and I like 'em! Lol

  1. My March was wildly busy AND the world was on fire, so -- yeah, I don't know. Pretty exhausting! Everyone I know seems to be having a wretched time, and I hate that. I want my people to be happy. :(

  2. Haha! I love that--do not apologize for weirdness!😉

  3. You never have to apologize for weirdness. The Internet would be boring if we were all normal. :) Happy April!

    1. Lol, I'm not sure the Internet would suffer if a few more people were boring, though... lol! ;)

  4. I think your posts really fit the general vibes of the month. It was a weird one, for sure. Thanks for continuing to provide resources on Ukraine. Over here, a lot of the bakeries have been making Ukrainian flag cookies where the proceeds go to relief, so that's been nice. Take care of yourself, Cee!

    1. Ha, the world has fit the 'weird' label for quite a while now ;)

Aw, that's a sweet way of raising funds! (I... had not intended that pun, but I'm leaving it there!)

      Take care Em! <3
