(Warning: this post discusses war, the threat of nuclear disaster, injured cats, and blood)
February.
2022.
February. 2022.
February 2022.
...I live in Europe. Edges of, here in the UK, but still Europe.
Y'know, that continent Putin nearly turned into a nuclear wasteland last week?
And no, I'm not over-reacting, Zaporizhzhia is way bigger than Chernobyl, and radiation from the Chernobyl disaster in 1986 was the reason Welsh farmers had restrictions on selling livestock until 2012.
So... *gestures at Putin in a non-polite manner*

My boy-cat, Jango, had problems with his teeth this month so we've going back and fore to the vets.
So, that was stressful as all hell.
Which, of course, meant that I had a lot of migraines, because my migraines are stress-related, and I'm clearly on a roll with them.
I had one of the most painful migraines I've had in years the night after we'd taken my poor boy for an emergency appointment and, it turned out, operation.
OMG was it stressful. Not least because most of his fur is white, so if there's even a drop of blood it spreads out and he looks like a slasher victim.
And there was a lot more than a drop that morning - hence the emergency appointment.
All cats are special, but Jango is special, y'know?
He's... there really isn't any other cat like him, he's magic.
And, thankfully, he's doing a whole lot better now 😻
I wrote some posts that mean a lot to me this month:
My post on Partygate explains why I will never, ever, forgive Boris Johnson...
...while I really think everyone needs to know about The Dark Side of Carbon Offsetting.
And I wrote a sci-fi-ish, dystopian-ish, short story because the universe and Bo Burnham told me to 😅

So that's February! Uh... yeah
How was yours?
Talk to me! 😀💬
I'm not going to lie, I have kinda hopped off the blogging train since the end of February. I'll be back, just crazy busy with marking assignments and schoolwork. I'm sorry you had a rough February as well. Despite not being in the same continent, us folks across the ocean cannot turn a blind eye to this.
ReplyDeleteThanks Em *hugs* - and do what's right for you, no need to worry about that <3
DeleteUgh. It's pretty intense. Even on the edge of the continent. It's serious, horrible, stuff.
