It's July, it's Thursday, let's find us some comics-y, superhero-y goodness!
TV Shows
I watched The Simpsons/Marvel short 'The Good, The Bart, and The Loki' on Disney+.
(And by 'short' they really mean short - there's only about 4 or 5 minutes of content.)
It's essentially one large Simpsons-endorsed advert for the Loki series, but I enjoyed it.

There was one moment in particular which delivered a surprising punch to the feels, and seeing Loki animated Simpsons-style, complete with Tom Hiddleston's voice-acting, was pretty cool.
So yeah, if you're a big Loki fan it's probs worth the watch, so long as you don't expect too much in terms of plot or length.
Other Stuff
Women Write About Comics (WWAC) won a well-deserved Eisner award - congrats to them!
Also at WWAC is Emily Lauer's review of DC YA graphic novel I Am Not Starfire - which follows the trials and tribulations of the teen daughter of famous superhero, Starfire.
You can catch up with my thoughts on the season finale of Loki on Medium, here, or right here on Dora Reads in last week's Comics Wrap-Up, here.
And to end, as is traditional, with some more shameless self-promo, I published some brief and random thoughts on Avengers: Age of Ultron on Medium here.
You can also check it out in the Comics Wrap-Up post it first appeared in, here.
Comics Wrap-Up is going on break in August, and will be back on September 2nd, 2021

I'm looking forward to watching the Marvel "WhatIf?" series on Disney Plus. It looks pretty interesting!
ReplyDeleteIt does! I'm still unsure about the animation style, but I mean... Marvel zombies. Lol <3
