Comics Wrap-Up - I'm Taking Back the Life You Stole

 

It's Thursday, it's the end of April in this year of 2021, let's get some comics-y superhero-y goodness!

TV Shows

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier (TFATWS) finale was released last Friday (*cries at the passing of this fantabulous series*)

(This is still a spoiler-free zone. No worries)

What did I think? Well, I loved it, and I mean LOVED it... but I think it could've done with more emotional pay-off in some areas, and spent more time on the mental health theme.

To an extent, that's me being greedy - they had a lot of plot to get through dammit, and a limited time in which to do it.

But they also had done so well with mental health throughout the series, that it felt a bit muddled and rushed at the end.

Which is a shame, yeah, but does NOT detract from the awesome job they did elsewhere with mental health.

And Lord knows, they needed to prioritise and engage with the race theme heavily at this point, and the themes of privilege and power - really, we were spoiled with this series, dearest nerdlets. It rocked.
