(Warning: As you can probably tell from the title, this post discussed Coronavirus/Covid 19, Lockdowns, and people acting like petulant children)
I'm in a local Lockdown.
...Along with nearly half of the population of Wales, and nearly a quarter of the population of the UK as a whole.
(Yeah... the government's working so hard to avoid a nationwide lockdown that the entire nation may well end up in 'local' lockdown.)
Because people can't do such simple things as not meet up for social events, keep 2m apart, wear a mask, and wash your goddamned hands.
Seriously, why are people finding this so hard?
The selfishness of some people truly astounds me.
If you are going to a RAVE in the middle of a global pandemic, you have no morals.
Sorry, not sorry.
Because it might be entirely your problem if you get ill - BUT YOU'RE MAKING OTHER PEOPLE ILL TOO.
And each and every one of those people's lives mean just as much as yours.
Plus you may think you 'won't get it,' or that if you do it 'won't be that bad,' but you're playing a dangerous game of Russian roulette there my friend, and the odds are not in your favour.
And the anti-vaxx, anti-mask, anti-common-sense losers from Trafalgar Square?
Kindly f**k right off.
Because I have zero patience for your conspiracy theories and general ignorance right now.
Anyone else on Lockdown?
Are you fed up with selfish and ignorant w**kers?
Talk to me! 💖💬

We’re not in lockdown yet but if people continue to pay no regard for social distancing then it will probably end up that way. Our cases are soaring right now, and working in a tourist town makes you really see how stupid people are. There is no need for people to be going on vacation right now!
ReplyDeleteA lot of the problems we've had is people coming back from holidays to Greece etc. and not self-isolating - in fact, the first thing a lot of people seem to do when they come back is go to the pub. Priorities. *Sigh*
DeleteI agree that it's so frustrating. If people would just follow through with being careful, we wouldn't have to end up with more lockdowns.

6000% agree! <3
DeleteWe're not on lockdown other than the restrictions that have been in place for a while, but I also have no patience for people who don't mask, and especially for those people spreading the ridiculous conspiracy theories. It's really disheartening to see so many people making these awful choices...
ReplyDeleteSorry for the late reply, I didn't get a notification for your comment for some reason (Dammit Blogger!)
DeleteI know right? You just wanna shake some sense into them, but then you realise you'd have to be closer than 2m apart!
The area I live in here in the US isn't in lockdown anymore but I'm sure if they try again there will be a riot. Its bad enough working with the public and people refusing to where masks. People have kicked doors and thrown stuff as a response.
ReplyDeleteIts amazing how many people over here don't THINK about how the ENTIRE WORLD is effected. Its just the government taking away our rights Unfortunately, I live in a highly populated Trump supporter area.
However, I hope you're doing well ❤
Oof - Trump area.
DeleteI'd actually move. I know that's probably not practical, and/or you don't want to, but I'd have to make an exit plan just to keep me going. Well done for holding up!
Yeah... I get the impression from some of the stuff we see on the news that a lot of people in the US don't understand that's it's not just about them. Which is probably a good indicator of the kind of mind-set we wanna avoid!
Thank you - I'm OK. Things aren't great - we had hardly any Covid cases in Wales AT ALL in August, and by the end of September most of us were in Lockdown because of the massive infection rate. That's how quickly it spreads!
