It's Thursday, my area is back in Covid lockdown, and we could all do with some comics-y superhero-y goodness!
TV Trailers
OK, so Disney+/Marvel released the trailer for the WandaVision TV show and the premise looks really interesting but... I still can't bring myself to give a sh** about these two's relationship!
Dammit Marvel! Stop trying to make WandaVision happen! No-one cares!

...Which is why it's even more annoying that such an interesting-looking show has such a lack of chemistry at its heart.

Other Stuff
Catch up on last week's Friday Fics Fix with Bucky Barnes, Tony Stark, and some trope-y horror (oo! spoopy!)
Do you care at all about Wanda and Vision?
What do you think of the trailer generally?

OMG absolutely same about Wanda and Vision! I also read the Tom King comics about them and found them just absolutely depressing and wretched. So I think I will wait and see what the reviews say, by which I mean I will wait and watch different ones of the new Marvel TV serieses. :P
ReplyDeleteI mean, I think they do better in comics which have their relationship as a background, rather than the focus.
DeleteI just... can't give a sh**. Especially when Marvel refused to give us Stucky!
To be honest, I have been so impressed with the original shows disney plus has been putting out, that I am pretty excited for WandaVision! I don’t know much about their relationship so can’t really comment on their chemistry l, but I’ll take another Disney plus show for sure!
ReplyDeleteWell, I hope you end up enjoying it Em :)
DeleteI was mildly interested in the idea of the show before, but after seeing the trailer I'm not convinced it is worth a watch. If the goal of a trailer is to inspire interest, this one failed to do it.
ReplyDeleteTbh, I was more interested in the trailer than I was before! Still not sure though. Like I said, I just don't care about their relationship, which seems to be based on a few moments of baking, with no follow up except 'look - they're a couple now!' (Also, Disney would rather give the robot an M/F relationship, than give two beloved characters an M/M relationship. Stucky forever dammit!)
