It's so awesome that I think I'm gonna overload on feels and fangirling joy!!!!

Also, they are def. going full bad-a**-Allison-in-Dallas 👀😍😎

Warning: flashing images, violence including: gore, gun violence, death, war, tanks, fire... basically the whole shebang. Yes, in the opening scene. Welcome to the Umbrella Academy.

Other Stuff

Need a reminder of what happened in series 1 of the Umbrella Academy?

Luckily, the Hargreeves siblings are here to remind you.

Warning: SPOILERS - like, the whole thing is SPOILERS -, flashing images, violence, references to: child abuse, substance abuse, family issues.

dividing line
I love Ryan Reynolds.

...I am a little worried as to where Ryan Reynolds ends and Wade Wilson/Deadpool begin, but... *shrugs*

OK, so, flashback:

Way back in 2009, the film X-Men Origins: Wolverine brought us Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool for the first time. That's been suitably retconned, because they made some not-good decisions.

But it was never argued - much like with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine - that they didn't have the best man for the job.

A Deadpool film was the next logical step, and test footage was filmed. And then, because Hollywood, it stalled.

Until that same test footage was leaked in 2014. Something that Ryan Reynolds is 70% sure he didn't do.

And I mean... can any of us really be more than 70% sure that we didn't leak that footage? 😉

Still, the leaking of the footage, and the fan support that followed, led to the film being made in 2016, followed by Deadpool 2 in 2018.

The reason why Deadpool 3 is taking so long though? Because the man himself is still trying to track down the source of the leak 😉

  1. Ooh, maybe I will watch Umbrella Academy. I was excited about it in the first place and then heard mixed reviews (like some problematic elements, maybe? I do not super remember anything from the Before times) and didn't get around to watching it. But it looks super fun. Ellen Page is so wee! Tom Hopper is so tall!

    1. Well, no-one should emulate these people, but that's kinda the point.

There's a couple of things which is like... maybe don't? (SPOILERS: fridging, pseudo-incest)

But the show as a whole is excellent, and diverse af! It is fun... but it will also tear out your heart and hand it to you. :) <3

  2. I love Ryan Reynolds as well. I may be biased because he's Canadian, but I love how he's one of the mainstream Canadian celebrities who haven't forgotten where he's come from. Even though he lives big in LA, he still takes time to immerse himself in Canadian causes.

    1. Ha, nothing wrong with remembering where you came from!

Michael Sheen works hard to support homeless people in Wales, and ran a relief fund for the flood victims. - People need to remember their roots, y'know?
