'Comics Wrap-Up' with lined-notebook-style background with speech bubbles containing heart symbols

It's Thursday, I got some awesome-sauce comics-y goodness for ya dearest nerdlets, so let's do this!

TV Trailers

UMBRELLA ACADEMY TRAILERRRRRR!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And it looks like they're gonna go full-a** Dallas here! Fish-tank guy and everything!

(Yes, I said fish-tank guy. Gerard Way wrote the comics, people, they're weird af. ...I love it.)

The trailer has mild SPOILERS for series 1.

Warning: this trailer contains flashing images, violence (guns, murder, bombs, tanks, etc.), cults, and what appears to be a mental hospital... or maybe just a weird prison, who knows?

Other Stuff

Speaking of The Umbrella Academy, the awesome Gerard Way has released a new song (ft. Judith Hill,) for series 2 of TUA - Here Comes The End:

Warning: flashing images

I just hope the writers manage to do a good enough job of moving the story on from Ruby Rose's Kate Kane, without losing the world they've built up over the first series.

I haven't seen Javicia Leslie in anything, so I don't know what to expect, but I hope she does an awesome job!

And to end once again on some shameless self-promo: last week's fanfiction post recc'd Brainiac 5 and Nia Nal from TV's Supergirl.

Are you looking forward to the new series of The Umbrella Academy? Have you read the comics?
What are your thoughts on the new Batwoman casting?

  1. I have finally gotten my own Netflix account (aka I no longer use my aunt's, lol), so I think I should give the Umbrella Academy a go!
