Micropoetry - February + March 2020

(What do you mean it's nearly the end of April? Shhhhh! 😉)

I'm not sure what to make of the pieces of Micropoetry I wrote in February and March.

Like... I don't know whether I like them or not. To be honest.

Anyway, um... tell me what you think, I guess!

As always, the poetry is in the alt-text for those usng screen-readers, with line breaks shown by / symbols.

26 Feb // I want you to see me / See. Me. / And not look away. // I want this turn of the wheel / To mean something / Beyond the boundaries of my skin // I want to be understood / Somehow / Before Annwn starts the cycle over // I want it to be enough - / The here and now. // It's never enough
dividing line
22 Mar // There's this little girl / In all the old photos -- // She takes the place / Where I would be / They keep saying that she's me. // She has the widest smile, / Sparkliest eyes // I don't remember being her // She's thinner than I remember / Younger / Sweeter // I don't remember her

So, what do you think?

  1. I can totally understand being insecure about writing. It’s like: is this the best thing I’ve ever written, or absolutely the worst thing? I think these are pretty great, Cee!
