It's Thursday, we still need superheroes, so let's get some comics-y goodness!
Films
My DVD, knitting, and kitty-cat-cuddles marathon continues!
I re-watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - still totally in love with this series!
...why do I relate so hard to this cyborg space raccoon?! Via Giphy |
(Still totally pee'd off that the plot-points here weren't mentioned in Avengers 3 & 4 re: Peter Quill and the infinity stones!)
(Also, Karen Gillan should not look that hot as a blue, bald, alien. #JustSaying. (...I was feeling especially Sapphic that day 😅))
I also watched The Wolverine for the first time.
It was much better than I was expecting since it doesn't have that great a general reputation on the Interwebs.

But then, the Interwebs doesn't know wtf they're talking about sometimes, let's be honest.
I don't know whether the Japanese rep. is OK or not... if anyone has any #OwnVoices blogposts, video essays, views, etc. then please let me know!
I also watched feature-length animated thingummy, Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors, on Disney+ - love seeing Kamala Khan and the beautiful America Chavez getting some screen time!
Other Stuff
Marvel have announced the new release schedule for their films, since a butt-tonne of releases have been pushed back.
Last week's Friday Fics Fix saw Diego Hargreeves (from The Umbrella Academy) on the case!
Susan @ The Lesbrary reviewed F/F graphic novel 'Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up With Me.'
And, to end on some shameless self-promo, you can catch up will all my superhero and comics posts (as well as all my other posts,) in my March wrap-up.
Been watching any superhero films lately?
Have you seen the Marvel Rising thingummy?
Talk to me! 😀💬

When I first found out that Nebula was Karen Gillan, I was shocked! She is practically unrecognizable. That costume and makeup department is incredible lol.
ReplyDeleteHa, I have serious respect for the actors willing to wear that stuff every day!
DeleteI really enjoyed the Guardians movies too and can't wait to see the third!
ReplyDeleteYessss! I hear #3 is gonna be Rocket-centred, and I can't wait! :) <3
