January 2020. The first month of a new decade.
...A little worrying that World War Three was trending on Twitter within a day or two of the New Year.
Trending globally. Off and on. For quite a while.
Anyway, in better news, if you're reading this it means you've survived.
And that's worth celebrating, ok? That's an achievement in itself.
Me? Well, I'm still here too.
Two awful colds to start the decade - but that's kind of been my life for the past ten years or so, so that's ok.
A few bad Depression days, but I made it through! And that's OK.
I don't tell you this for sympathy, dearest nerdlets, I say it because there's no reason to be ashamed of it.
Because it's OK to struggle, and it's not a sign of weakness. And because I'm f**king proud of myself for realising all that! 😀💖
And, the problem with my grandfather's grave is solved!
Thank God or Rhiannon or the Universe or whoever else may be listening.
Because that? Was something we shouldn't have had to go through. Ever.
Still, we now know for certain that he is, in fact, buried in the correct grave.
No book reviews again this month - BUT! I have a review almost ready to post which should be on the blog within the next week or two.
...And once that one's posted, it'll be on to the next one!
I'm very very slowly attempting to organise myself, without over-working (which I have a tendency to do...) Lol.

...um, why is this recurring search?
Not that there's anything wrong with searches like this, but they come up a lot - like, way more than I would expect people to be searching for this specific thing 😅
Anyway. Here's my post about Harry and Draco getting stuck in a cupboard, and having a panic attack! 😅😉

I think January was a tough month for all of us. But you’re right, we did survive. And that’s all that matters.
ReplyDeleteYep! Just keep swimming & all that! XD <3
DeleteI saw World War Three trending. Congrats on surviving! World War Six was also trending in the US after the president said something stupid. I guess we survived that one too. Your amusing searches are definitely amusing this month. People Google the most random stuff. I guess there’s probably a fanfiction to fit any odd Google search.

Six...? Did the rest of the world fall asleep for a bit...? You need to get rid of the Trumpkin over there!
DeleteHa, fanfiction readers know *exactly* what they want dammit!
So glad that you got the thing with your grandpa's grave figured out. I know that was a big source of stress in your life!

Massive - not knowing who was buried in which grave was... just super-upsetting on the anniversary of losing him, y'know? We had to have them dig down to read the nameplate on the coffin to get it resolved
DeleteI think being in a northern climate means tough Januaries. We went almost 2 weeks here without a peek of sun. I'm so proud of you for discussing it--you never know when you might be helping someone else who is going through a similar time. And yay for the personal relief of knowing your grandfather's grave is correct. We have brght sunshine here today and it makes all the difference.
ReplyDeleteI actually find that the amount of light/sunshine doesn't really affect me (...although I hate the summer, heat is... not good!) Still, I know that it does affect some people a lot, and I'm glad you have some sunshine back!
DeleteThanks so much - this was such a sweet comment! <3
