I was a 90s kid (and I do mean 'kid,' I was v. smol!) so inevitably I watched the hell out of the original Pokémon TV series.
It was weird, random, probably a little bit cliché... and pretty much every kid watched it!
I loved Team Rocket!
While technically, they were the bad guys, they were too incompetent and generally soft-hearted to ever be a 'real' threat.
And they were funny, and had AMAZING hair! 😂
Plus, Jessie looked mighty handsome in a tuxedo, and James looked simply beautiful in a dress.
(...Sometimes I wonder how I managed to avoid admitting I'm Queer until 3 years ago... 😅)

So this week's recommended fic is a fun and totally random Pokémon adventure.
It involves a haunted house, the original 3 Pokémon trainers (Brock, Misty, Ash,) and Team Rocket.
It's also spoopy! James gets possessed and everything!
But it does handle a couple of heavy issues (albeit lightly.)
So be aware that this fic discusses suicide, attempted suicide (...sort of, paranormal do-dahs were involved,) violence, and abuse.
