Other Stuff
Some of the biggest comics/superhero news this week is that Rotten Tomatoes (the film rating site) had to take down their 'Want to see' rating for Captain Marvel.
This is due to a concerted attack by fragile d*ckheads who feel threatened when they can't see the female lead's cleavage.
I have, unfortunately, come across some of said d*ckheads quite a lot online.

They think Brie Larson should smile more.
Because male heroes, like Batman for example, always have a permanent grin plastered to their faces. #Sarcasm.
We have a little bit of a bigots/Nazis/both problem in comics at the moment, which calls itself #Comicsgate and claims it's about the stories and talent.
Which apparently women and marginalised communities don't have. Which should tell you something.
I trust you'll join me in supporting the awesomeness of this film. #HigherFurtherFaster baby! 😄

I was thrilled for Black Panther, but not as thrilled for who actually won best picture. It was Green Book, a supposedly film about black people, but entirely produced by white people. I hated it.
ReplyDeleteI loved Spike Lee's response to British journalists who asked him whether he was offended by Green Book - he was like: 'It wasn't my cup of tea!' Lol.
