Month In Review(s) - December 2018

In order to fully boot 2018's a** out the back door, there's still a little business to attend to - in this case, December's wrap-up.

Except for Christmas (which is always amazing - I love Christmas,) December sucked.

I lost my beautiful, wonderful, generous, kind, Grampa.

So December gave me Christmas, but that's the only good thing going for it.

For those who've been following my updates on my grandparents:

Firstly, THANK YOU, you are all totally amazing and I love you very much! Your support has been so, so, appreciated!

Secondly, you'll be pleased to hear that my Nan now has a place at a wonderful nursing home, and seems to be settling in quite well.

As you might expect, things haven't been easy for her. She's lost her husband of 64 years, and moved away from her home of almost that long, within the space of a few weeks, and Parkinson's makes processing all of that very difficult for her.

That said, we're super-pleased with how well she's currently doing.

PLEASE, if you haven't already done so, read my post on Parkinson's Disease. It would really mean so much to me!

So, with all that, I really didn't get the chance to do as much blogging as I wanted to in December.

That's just the way things are *shrugs*. Life gets in the way.

Please do take a look at the posts I did manage to write!

  5. I'm sorry for your loss. I had surgery the week before Christmas so December was pretty quiet but still fun with my niece and nephew here for the holidays. See what I read in December at Girl Who Reads

  6. I'm so sorry you lost your Grandpa. I'm happy your Grandma is doing well as this is such a difficult time for your family. Our December had many concerts, family time, and prepping to remodel our kitchen and family room.
