Micropoetry - April 2017

Here's the micropoetry I wrote in April!

I'm planning on posting one or two other micropoetry posts very soon, since people seemed to think it was a good idea when I suggested it last month.

I was going to do it in April, but, *shrugs* life happens. So I'm hoping to get at least one done by the end of May. (Emphasis on hoping!)

12th April

Sometimes we don't realise
How much the little things
Take the biggest efforts;
Too wrapped up in the 'shoulds' and 'should nots'

14th April

'Be different!
Stand out from the crowd!*'

*As long as it's in a way
Society sees
As acceptable
& many
Have done
before

18th April

If I loved you,
Could you spare the time
Of promises unmade,
A future unowned & unknown?
If I loved you,
Could you spare the time?

27th April

Sometimes you break my heart
Cos each and every one of you
Is like an intricate strand of golden clockwork
...And you don't even know

If you liked my poetry, why not buy me a coffee?

(Y'know... if you want to!)

  1. The April 14th one is so true, unfortunately. I think my favorite is the first one though :-)

  4. I love all of these, Cee! Especially the first two, as I think they're very fitting with today's society. Keep up the good work! :)

  5. I really love the second poem so much! I think it is so relevant to how some people see being unique... and its really twisted and back handed. I also think the first poem is another one which is so relevant. We need to learn how to live now, and not hesitate.

  6. I love this! I loved your last micro poetry too, I wish I could write poetry, unfortunately I'm terrible and cringey!
