So I've got you some. :)
These poems have been languishing in my notebook for far too long. It's time to let them fly into the world and be read by you, my dearest nerdlets (Me? Nervous? ...Maybe a little.)
I'm like porcelain
If you break me
You let me win
A modern-day witch
Doing Arachne's work.
I seize the scissors
From cold Fate.
It dances.
Tender pins,
On my skin.
Dainty flower -
Strong life.
They cut you down,
call you weed.
They leave bottles
On the pavement.
Everything is clear
On a night like this
Muted rain
On the window pane
Hear my breath
Hear my heart
Loudly muffled,
My dear.
How can we tell
What the stars
Are thinking?
Thoughts full of fire
An unknown youth
Billions of miles away

DeleteLovely as always, Cee! I wish I had the talent you have - you manage to create such vivid images in my head with so few words and it's so beautiful, and often very touching.

Delete(And I'm sure you're not as bad at poetry as you think!) :)
I really loved the first two poems especially! The very first one, has me very much intrigued. It isn't an interesting twist in the last line and it made me really stop and think...
ReplyDeleteThank you :) I'm glad you liked them :)
