Micropoetry - March 2017

The end of March means that it's time for the wrap-up of my micropoetry!

(Yes, the same micropoetry that I inflict on my Twitter followers throughout the month, collected into one handy-dandy blogpost!)






By the by, would anyone be interested in posts of my micropoetry that, for one reason or another, never makes it to Twitter?

I've noticed recently that my notebook is kind of overflowing with the stuff, and it's all previously unpublished (like, not even in the internet sense.)

So, would you be interested in reading some of that?

It's pretty similar to the stuff that ends up on Twitter - although, some is longer, and some is even shorter.

2nd March

I want to be beautiful, honey.
But what can I do?
I don't see myself as beautiful
- That's how I see you.

3rd March

We're all doing our best
With this little time
This little life
And it feels like running uphill
But the good parts... they're sublime

14th March

The world slides sometimes

As if we could just tear the curtain down.

It's nothing more

Than thin cloth

After all

Just... reach... out

29th March

Piecing an economy
Out of piecemeal work,
Shattered dreams,
And the desperate sweat
Of 'lazy' people
