Comics Wrap-Up - Heavy on the Explosions

Title: Comics Wrap-Up. Background: lined-background-style with speech bubbles containing heart symbols

It's Thursday, it has once again been an effing week, so let's get some comics-y superhero-y goodness!

Awesome, OFC

We have our first teaser trailer for Captain America: Brave New World everyone!

This is Sam Wilson's first official film as Captain America. Which is awesome, ofc.

And apart from the fact that Marvel is trying to hurt those of with light-sensitivity with this trailer (#Rude,) it seems pretty cool.

- Obviously, it's a teaser, so we're heavy on the explosions and low on the 'wtf is this actually about?' elements. Which is a-OK. Still seems pretty cool.

Given recent news, some of the (assassination) plot that we do get a glimpse of seems a little too relevant, but here we are.

And I kind of feel like this is a weird movie to intro. Red Hulk, but OK. Whatever. We'll just go with it 😅

...Also, apparently shaving your moustache turns you into Harrison Ford. Ours is not to reason why 😅

Warning: MAJOR flashing images, general violence - including gun violence and political violence

So Much Fun

This Deadpool & Wolverine trailer is super-fun!

And I'm here for it 😎

Warning: mild flashing images, general violence inc. gun violence, references to drugs and sexual references/adult humour

Shameless Self-Promo Time!

Over on Medium I talked about the last episode of Marvel's What If...? series 2 - or you can see that same talky-talk right here on Dora Reads here.

What do you think of the new Captain America trailer?

Was the transformation into Harrison Ford clever or just awkward?

Talk to me! 😊💬

  1. Yayyy!! I'm excited for more Sam Wilson. It seems like ages since Falcon and the Winter Soldier came out.

    1. I know, right? But then, there's been a lot of reasons why production might be difficult in the last few years... *sigh*
