Friday Fics Fix - The Sense of Things

I found a fic which has synaesthesia in it dammit!!!!

For those of you who don't know, synaesthesia is: a) a melding or running together of two senses, and b) something that I have.









So when I found a fic where Sherlock - from BBC's Sherlock - has synaesthesia, I was damn well going to share it with you! XD

The thing about synaesthesia is that it is entirely unique to the synaesthete - everybody has their own unique experience of it.








But there is stuff we have in common. Most of us, for example, love and appreciate the way that we experience the world.

And there was a line I read in this fic - despite it apparently being written by a non-synnie - which completely sums up this feeling: 'a neurological condition without which I cannot imagine my life - neither do I want to.'
