(No-one is more surprised that me!)
Quick gushy moment before we get down to things:
Thanks so much to all of you who leave comments telling me you like these posts, and my Micropoetry! You honestly have no idea how much it means to me!
Thanks as well to anyone who likes and RTs these micro-poems when they go live on Twitter.
You, my dearest nerdlets, are truly so sweet and kind and awesome!!!!
Here, then, are the poems I wrote in March:
7th March
Darling,
Sometimes slow & steady
Inch by inch
Step by step
Keystroke by keystroke
Is the wildest rebellion of all.
That's why they try to drag you down
Wear you down
Stamp you down.
Cos they're terrified of you
And what you can do
Slow and steady,
19th March
Like,
Hey there Romeo,
But where
the hell
were you? -
When her kids
Were screaming,
and the rent was due?
27th March
Can't get enough breath
(Not enough breath, not enough breath)
Air slices me as I try to breathe,
Lets out what's inside of me -
(Not enough breath, not enough breath)
What's inside of me?
- My chest is a cavity filled with ants
(Not enough breath)
& they call it Anxiety
31st March
Someone has to show this world the ropes
Has to tell them when to duck and when to dive.
Someone has to scream into the void,
In case there's someone out there
Trying to hear a voice.
And that's it for this month's Micropoetry!

I love the 19th of March! You tell Romeo what’s up lol!!
ReplyDeleteHa, thank you! XD I have no freaking idea where that one came from; I was literally just drying the dishes when I thought of it! Lol.
Delete19th and 27th are both so powerful! Really inspired by how you find the words, Cee!
ReplyDeleteThank you sooooo much!!!! XD *blushes*
Deleteoh I love your work so much! I do hope you publish it one day so I can promote it and fangirl over it nonstop! <3
ReplyDeleteSo this is how good it is.. As I'm reading March 27 I'm thinking "I'm gonna comment it made me so anxious" :) and that's exactly what the poem was about !
LOL the Romeo one has to be my favorite today :)
Ha, I have been slowly putting my archive on Wattpad - I think the link's in the 'Support Me' page :) But yeah, actual publishing may or may not ever happen, lol!
DeleteYeah... I actually literally wrote March 27th in the middle of an Anxiety flare-up! I was having a few issues that week.
Thank you! Everyone seems to like the Romeo one, and it's literally a random-a** thing that popped into my head while I was doing the dishes! XD
The first and the last were both so motivational! I especially like the last one since it's so relevant to blogging and internet stuff, how I think we all wonder if we're screaming into the void sometimes. It's nice to be reminded someone might actually be listening.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :) And yeah, I guess I have blogging on the brain sometimes! Lol.
DeleteOoh nice poetry! I like the Romeo one because I think some people will be able to relate to that one. And I especially like the last one - it's my favourite - because it kind of makes the cry for help necessary just in case there is an answer instead of portraying it as a vy for attention like some people like to believe it to be. Also, are you planning on collecting all your poems into one?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! You're so sweet! I've actually been (very, very, very slowly!) uploading all my Micropoetry archive to my Wattpad - one of these days I might even catch up with the uploading... stranger things have happened!
