Comics Wrap-Up - They Say We Are What We Are

comics wrap-up title image with manga-style woman handing a flower to her shadow

Due to some American football hijinks, we got an Avengers: Infinity War trailer this week.

I can't help but feel that we've had more in past years. But if a random-a** sport wants to give me superheroes, I'm fine with it! ;)

(And yes, it is American football - real football is played with a round ball and two nets #JustSaying. Also, I was a fantastic goalie as a kid. #TrueStory.)

Film Trailers

First up we have a tantalising peak at the Avengers: Infinity War.

(Nothing better happen to my Bucky bear dammit!!!!!)

And what would a comics wrap-up be these days without some Black Panther trailers?

(No, seriously... what am I gonna do when there are no more Black Panther trailers?!)

There is a new Deadpool trailer! Which is just as random and break-the-Fourth-wall-y as my li'l fangirling heart could desire!

What with this being Deadpool though, be aware that there's some adult humour and swearing in here.

Other Stuff

DC have a new line of Young Adult and kids' graphic novels planned - with some pretty awesome authors involved.

And to round us off, Book Riot gave us 3 Queer comics by Creators of Colour.

What's your hope for Avengers: Infinity War? Is there a character you will protect with every fibre of your being?! (Lol.)

  1. Lol I saw that Infinity War trailer during the (fake) football game and I think I might actually give that movie a go! Mostly because The Guardians of the Galaxy are in it and I need to see them interact with the other heroes lol!

    1. I love Rocket. So bad. Like, he says what I'm thinking... which I should probably be worried about tbh! XD

    1. The villain in infinity war is Thanos - the purple alien dude who they've been setting up for a while. He's also Gamora (from Guardians of the Galaxy)'s father. (All the family drama! Lol.)

  3. Not really related to the post, but oh goodness, playing goalie was like my worst nightmare. Objects flying toward my face?! No thank you lol.

    1. 'Handegg' - lol! The English football team get the glory, but the Welsh've got the heart ;) (and Gareth Bale, which helps!)

  5. NFL has given as a lot and I am always happy that it gives us new film trailers. I am very excited for the new Avengers film. I totally feel you on the football thing, real football has nets.
