Yep, this is both a self-care exercise and a blogpost. THAT is multitasking 😎
So sometimes, when we're busy, we forget to take care of ourselves - especially mental-health-wise. I'm officially the world's worst for this - I overwork A LOT.
So, here's a few things I have to remind myself of - and I hope they help you too!
1. Take Breaks
Like, often. You're going to burn out if you don't. Plus you might snap at people (not that I do that *shifty glances*)
2. Stay hydrated
Human beans have to drink to like... live.
3. Eat
Cos you can't work without fuel.
4. Anxiety is a butt-face. Don't listen to it.
Too much self-criticism and freaking out about stuff just ain't good for you.
5. You. Can. Do. This.
Whatever it is - you can do it. F**k anyone who says you can't.
6. Pick a time to stop for the night. Stick to it.
Force yourself. It stops that burn-out thing.
7. Get as much sleep as you can.
Not always possible, but do your best.
8. Schedule in some 'you time.'
Similar to breaks, but not exactly the same. Spend some time pampering yourself with something you love doing, or something like a bath if that's your thing.
9. You rock
Out loud. Don't forget that.
10. It does NOT have to be perfect.
I struggle with this. But look guys, just give it a shot, and whatever it ends up like is OK.
